The American Center in Moscow and the English Language Office are inviting practicing and aspiring English language teachers to English Language Teaching Week on October 21-25, 2019. ELT Week at AMC is a week of daily lectures and workshops from ELT specialists on various aspects of teaching English as a foreign language. The topics covered will include teaching English through video, teaching speaking, teaching academic writing, EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction), and creating an online EL course.
On October 24 at 5:30-7:00pm you are invited to a practical workshop where you will learn the tools of backwards course disign based on Indiana University Bloomington model.
If before starting your course you are asking yourself how my students will be different by the end of the course, what I want them to be able to think and do upon competion of my classes, then join our workshop to rethink, redesign or revisit your teaching model.
This is a practical workshop where we will discuss goal-setting and learning outcomes, create course assessments and work on class activities boosting English language communication skills in an international setting.
Led by Alfiya Mosalova, Ph.D. in Education, international education projects manager and English for Professional Purposes Instructor with over ten years of professional experience.
