Writer Damian Wampler talks about the history of comics books, their origins in American newspapers and their development into a multi-billion dollar entertainment industry. He will talk about the early forms of sequential art that date back to the time of early humans, as well as forms of sequential art found in ancient Egypt, Greece, and China. He will discuss the cultural aspects of early comics books, and how politics and laws shaped the golden years of the artform. And he will talk about the modern transition to the big screen and answer questions about how comics are made.
