Media Literacy Fellow Joseph Crescente welcomes Anthony Adornato, an associate professor of journalism at Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications and a Fulbright Scholar, to this edition of the Media Literacy Discussion Club. Adornato specializes in teaching and researching mobile and social media journalism. He is the author of Mobile and Social Media Journalism: A Practical Guide (2017), the "go-to guide for understanding how today’s journalists and news organizations use mobile and social media to gather news, distribute content, and create audience engagement." Adornato worked for 15 years in the journalism, digital media, and public relations fields, including 10 years in broadcast journalism as a television news anchor, reporter, and producer. In conversation with Crescente, he will discuss his research and participants will have an opportunity to ask questions. As always, no previous knowledge is necessary, just a desire to learn more!
