The Context Festival of Contemporary Choreography, the American Center and US Embassy in Moscow, and the Forum for Cultural Engagement present a Master Class and Conversation with internationally renowned Choreographer Aszure Barton in celebration of International Dance Day on April 29, 2021 at 5:00 PM Moscow time.
Aszure Barton has been creating work for over 25 years and has collaborated with Mikhail Baryshnikov, Misty Copeland, Cyndi Lauper, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Martha Graham Dance Company, American Ballet Theatre, among others.
Designed for professional dancers (but open to the general public), the Master Class will be followed by a live conversation about Bartons career as a choreographer and how her experience during COVID-19 has transformed her approach to her work.
