Global Entrepreneurship Week is a massive campaign to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community around the world. Each November, 10 million people take part in tens of thousands of activities, competitions and events that inspire them to act and provide them with the knowledge, experience and connections they need to succeed.

To celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week on November 8-14, 2021, the American Center in Moscow invites you to a series of virtual meetings with American experts in the field of business and entrepreneurship.

Our guest speaker today is Briana Weisinger, Director of the South San Diego Small Business Development Centre. 

During today’s engaging session, Briana will talk about design thinking for innovators and entrepreneurs, where you will gain practical knowledge that can be used not only in business, but also in a workplace.

Briana Weisinger is a changemaker who leads with mindful integrity and dedication to the 50/50 commitment – equal representation of women and men – in leadership, entrepreneurship, and social impact. She has experienced the ups and downs of launching and closing her own business in the education industry and uses this experience in her mission to empower entrepreneurs with a blend of entrepreneurial thinking and change-making spirit, which helps them explore creating positive social impact while pursuing financial success. Weisinger has worked with hundreds of start-ups and small businesses in every industry to launch and scale their businesses. She has also designed entrepreneurial education programs that have served thousands of individuals.

Briana believes in sharing her time generously with organizations that align with her personal missions. She served as a founding board member of Hera Labs and later served as interim executive director. Weisinger also co-founded the San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Women MBAs, led the renovation of a shelter for women fleeing domestic violence, and volunteered in refugee camps in Greece in response to the migration crisis brought on by the war in Syria. Briana was also a 2018 and 2019 finalist for the San Diego Next Top Business Leaders Under 40 award. She’s a graduate of the Startup Leadership Program. And she holds a BA in political science, an MA in international relations, and a MBA with a global focus.
