The American Center’s weekly English Conversation Club welcomes everyone who wants to practice their English and communication skills to join a Zoom session on December 27 at 5:30 pm MSK! 

We are having discussions on different topics, such as arts and culture, business and intercultural communication, sports and health. You will have an opportunity to express your opinion using your creativity and knowledge and to practice building arguments to feel confident in every conversation. Don’t miss your chance to upgrade your English conversation skills, make new connections, and get inspired by intersting discussions. 

Our topic for the discussion on December 27 is "New Year". In the United States, people begin to celebrate the New Year on December 31st, New Year’s Eve. Families and friends gather to share a meal and “ring in” the New Year, often with a toast and a song. Americans also enjoy the tradition of watching the New Year’s festivities at Times Square (New York City) which are broadcast on TV. New Year’s Day (January 1st) is a national holiday in the United States.
