On April 13 at 6:30PM MSK the American Center in Moscow invites teenagers 12-17 years old and everyone who is interested in space to a space talk "How Likely is an Asteroid to Ruin Your Day?". This presentation is held as part of the camp "Space for everyone" on April 6-22.
Are you interested in learning a bit more about asteroids? Come to this presentation on April 13 at 6:30PM MSK by Humberto Campins, an international expert on asteroids and comets. Dr. Campins earned a master’s and Ph.D. degree in planetary sciences at the University of Arizona. He has spent his entire career chasing asteroids, comets and other celestial bodies conducting research at observatories around the world, including Arizona, Chile, France, Hawaii, Spain and the Vatican. Dr. Campins has also earned several prestigious awards including a Fullbright and the Don Quijote Award for his work. There’s even an asteroid, 3327 Campins, named after him.
Who is it for: Ages 12 -17 (and above), minimum Intermediate level of English, no previous knowledge of Astronomy required.
