Join a new series of online sessions "Meet a Poet", hosted by American Center in Moscow, where you will meet an American poet to share their work and their experience in writing and discussing poetry.
The guest on May 25 at 6:00 PM MSK is poet Regan Good. The moderator of the talk is poet Geoffrey Nutter.
Regan Good attended the Iowa Writers Workshop as a Maytag Fellow. She has published two books of poems, The Atlantic House (2011), and The Needle (2020). Poetry critic Stephanie Burt wrote of her work: "Good has a sense of pentameter and a sense of image and a sense of experiment that almost never go together." Regan Good teaches writing in the architecture program at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture, and poetry writing at Barnard College. Good is interested in Romanticism, mysticism, and poems that resist paraphrase. Her third book of poems, The Blood Ribbon, will be published in 2023.
Geoffrey Nutter is the author of several books of poems, including Christopher Sunset, The Rose of January, and Giant Moth Perishes. He teaches poetry at New York University and Queens College. He runs the Wallson Glass Poetry Seminars, a series of private writing sessions. He lives in New York City.
