Join North Seattle College Rocketry Club for a special presentation during National Engineers Week! On February 16 at 8:00 p.m. MSK, current and former club presidents, Alex Langenstein and Kat Farmer, will share their passion for rocketry and their experience in the aerospace industry.
This presentation will provide insight into starting a university rocketry club and into how such groups give students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering and educate them about space. Alex, who holds a degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation and is currently working at Blue Origin, an aerospace manufacturer and sub-orbital spaceflight services company, will also share her experience in the aerospace industry. Kat, a NASA Community College Aerospace Scholar and aerospace engineering student, will discuss her role in the club. The presentation will also feature Tracy Furutani, the club advisor, who is a Fulbright Specialist, professor of Engineering Physics and Chemistry, and holds an L2 certification from the National Association of Rocketry.
This event is designed to inspire high school and university students to start or join a rocketry club. So, if youre ready to get inspired, mark your calendars for February 16 at 8:00 p.m. MSK and join the North Seattle College Rocketry Clubs presentation!
