Do you ever feel stuck when you’re trying to write? Do you ever feel like you just can’t seem to get started when you need to write a report, a blog post, or a chapter or your future novel? If so, then what you are experiencing is writer’s block, a feeling of being unable to put words on paper that affects thousands of people worldwide.

If you have been afflicted with writer’s block and dream that you can write as if your pen was on fire, join the Teacher2Teacher workshop on February 21 at 7 p.m. MSK, conducted by devoted amateur writer and English language teacher Evgeniya Karabatova.

In this 90-minute writing workshop, we’ll have a look at:

- writing for the sake of writing;

- what to do when your mind is drawing a blank;

- rituals: how to make a habit of writing;

- surviving rejection.

We are going to explore a variety of tricks and insights to help you push past the obstacles that stop you from writing on a daily basis. In the company of like-minded enthusiasts, we will explore and discuss some theory behind overcoming writer’s block then put it into practice through writing exercises. This workshop will be beneficial to those who are passionate about writing, as well as those who need to write for academic or professional purposes.

❕ Please note that this is a workshop, not a webinar, and participants will be expected to work on and produce a short piece of writing. Join this workshop only if you intend to complete writing exercises and prompts, and make sure you join in the first 20-30 minutes.

The workshop is facilitated by Evgeniya Karabatova, AMC volunteer and a certified English-language teacher (TESOL, CPE, IELTS).
