This six-part series focuses on evaluating who is behind the information you’re consuming online. You’ll learn how to fact-check and cross-reference sources, evaluate the reliability of seemingly professional, visually convincing websites, make informed decisions about which Google results to click on (hint: it’s not the first one on the list!), and how to recognize media created to mislead (aka “deep fakes”). These workshops, created for all audiences, include hands-on activities created to help participants apply what they’re learning to become more savvy media consumers in their daily lives.
This interactive program is led by Camila Lee, an Instructional Designer and Research Associate at the MIT Teaching Systems Lab.
