In this session, former astronaut Cady Coleman discusses her time on the International Space Station and explores what these experiences in space can tell us about life on Earth.
Throughout her career, Coleman has spent more than 180 days in space, taking part in three missions. She launched in 1995, 1999, and 2010, flying on the space shuttle and the Soyuz. Cady trained in Russia from 2007 to 2010. She completed her winter and water survival training with Nikolai Tikonov and Sasha Misurkin. On her third trip to space, Cady launched from Kazakhstan on Soyuz TMA-20. Her crew members were Scott Kelly, Oleg Skripochka, Dmitri Kondratyev, Paola Nespoli, and veteran cosmonaut Sasha Kaleri. They were joined in space by Expedition 27: Andrei Borisenko, Aleksandr Samokutyayev, and Ron Garan.
