Professor Anatoly Liberman is a widely recognized linguist and a faculty member in the Department of German, Nordic, Dutch, and Slavic at the University of Minnesota, USA. Born and educated in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Professor Liberman earned his DPhil from the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union in 1972. With a distinguished career spanning multiple decades, he has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship and the Fulbright Research Fellowship. Professor Liberman is a prolific author with over 650 publications to his name, sixteen of which are books.
