About the poet:  Sosena Audain is a high school senior based in Washington, DC She enjoys writing, reading classics, composing a-capella versions of pop songs, drinking matcha, and thrifting anything that could blend into the forest. She doesn’t own any pets, but she wants a bunny, a cat, a duck, and a guinea pig so they can all be friends. Sosena was recently named the 2026 Youth Poet Laureate of Montgomery County, Maryland.
