With 5.5 million athletes with intellectual disabilities involved, and 244 national and U.S. Programs in 193 countries, the Special Olympics are a global movement. In her current role with the organization, Lisa Chazanovitz is the Director of Delegation Services for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. She joins to discuss the impact of the games in the US and abroad. She also shares insights around the organization of the World Games at the international level and the importance of guest management and hospitality programs.

Lisa Chazanovitz is an experienced event and sports operations professional specializing in large-scale, mission-driven sporting events. In her current role, she manages delegation services for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. Previously, Lisa managed VIP Programs for Special Olympics international events, including three World Games, delivering high-level experiences for key stakeholders and partners.
Based in Washington, DC, Lisa earned her Master’s in Tourism Administration from George Washington University in 2017. She has contributed to major events including the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the Citi Open, and the MLB All-Star Game in DC. Originally from the Boston area, Lisa is a lifelong sports fan with a passion for creating exceptional athlete and guest experiences.
