Mindfulness has become a very popular topic in psychology in recent years as most of us experience deficit of attention, which is the opposite of mindfulness. We will discuss how to cultivate more conscious awareness of your thoughts and emotions, which leads to better responses to daily events and stressors. You will learn why mindfulness can improve your psychological well-being, increase positivity, and relieve stress. The "menu" of mindful practices will include breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, biofeedback, and other techniques. No background in psychology is required.
