Welcome to a series of workshops on how information media work. We will research how the news is made and why it is presented in this or that way, how to tell the difference between fake news and reliable news, what makes content viral and how it becomes click-bait.
Session 2: Instruments of Media Influence. Let’s get down to business. News business. Why different media tell the same story so much differently? We will understand the importance of an audience and ratings. And what they dictate. We will grasp how media influence audience. And most importantly – with what. We will explore the most important conception ever – levels of information. How to rank different news pieces to make them most efficient.
