American English Live Series 13 — six free professional development webinars for English language teachers around the world—begins on January 19, 2022 and is celebrating 60 years of English Teaching Forum with webinars by Forum authors! The webinars will examine topics including Reading, Storytelling, and Supporting Students with Learning Disabilities.
The participants who attend 4 out of 6 online viewing and discussion sessions hosted by the American Center in Moscow on Zoom will earn an e-certificate from the Regional English Language Office. On January 19 at 16:00 MSK, during the first session in American English Live Series 13, "Skim, Scan, Run! An Active Approach to Developing Reading Macroskills," Kevin McCaughey and Heather Benucci will share a dynamic way to get students out of their seats—in both virtual and face-to-face settings—as they collaborate and communicate with classmates during a reading race that involves a variety of texts. Information about English Teaching Forums 60th anniversary celebration will be shared, too!
